These are a must-have for your Model 5032 or 5050 Redhawk if you plan to carry it loaded with 45acp. They protect your two spare loaded moon clips from damage but keep them instantly accessible. I’ve found it easiest to use the second option in the instructions and slip the empty carrier up into place on my belt first, (while wearing it,) and use one hand to pull it open while placing the loaded clip into it with the other hand. Just make sure that the cartridges straddle the belt evenly, but the clip probably won’t snap into place on both sides until they do. These carriers are well-made and seem quite durable. They are easy to use, and affordable. If you wear a belt and are going to use your moon clips, get a pair. Even for practice, it’s nice to have 12 more rounds loaded up and ready to go right there with you on the firing line.

The one and only negative to this CCW moon clip carrier is that is takes a bit of finger strength to open the two jaws in order to insert the loaded moon clip. Other than that, the clips remains secure in this holder until you need to reload, and then they come out smoothly and without a hitch.
