Detailed Description

This muzzle brake reduces recoil by as much as 58% (depending on caliber and barrel length) and reduces noise and blast to the sides of the shooter, contributing to improved accuracy over a longer string of fire. The brake installs quickly using a 7/8" box wrench or crescent wrench and locks into position using an easy-to-use external jam nut. The brake fits all Ruger Precision® Rifle and other rifles equipped 5/8"-24 muzzle threads in the following calibers: 308 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor, 243 Win, 6.5 Grendel, 300 Blackout, 7.62x39, 25-06, 7mm-08 Rem, 7mm Rem Mag, 7mm PRC, 6.5 PRC, and 300 Win Mag. The brake is manufactured from alloy steel with a matte black finish. It is 2.2" long, 1.0" in diameter and weighs 3.2 ounces. Made in the USA.

Stuck on rifle 5/29/2022
Bought this brand new and it had zero directions and I attempted to put this on my Ruger American 7.62x39 and it got stuck on my rifle and now will not turn. I am most likely going to have to send the gun back to Ruger.

Kel tec rfb 1/13/2022
Pulled off my rpr to run suppressed, put the hybrid on a kel tec rfb and it helps tremendously with recoil and noise

Effective on 6.5 Creedmoor rifles 7/26/2021
I have 2 of these brakes, both are installed on rifles chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. I like that it uses a jam nut instead of a crush washer to time the brake. Very nice.

Ruger Precision Muzzle Brake 3/7/2021
The first one I got had a bad spot on the threads and obviously would not thread onto host. Terrible burs on the cross drilled holes too. QC is non-existent apparently! Ruger sent me a prepaid label to ship back for replacement and the one I got threads on fine but still has razor sharp burs. Its an effective enough brake for 308 and 7.62x39 and I like the easy-clock jamnut design but for $100, I honestly expected a little more fit and finish.

Good quality and effective reduction in recoil 9/30/2020
Six plus decades of shooting and a good deal of experience with brakes. The one on my rifle is cleanly manufactured and finished. Felt recoil reduction is major and sound levels are not bad at the firing line. Slight point of impact shift with/without brake, but accuracy not adversely impacted.

Ruger Hybrid Muzzle Brake 9/28/2020
My Ruger 308 Hawkeye Precision rifle with the new Ruger break kicks like a 243 even with 168 gr HPBT ammo! I am very impressed with your muzzle break design. Just shot a 3/8 100yard 3 shot group, nice! Can you print recoil reduction numbers and sound pressure levels at the shooters ear? It does not seem to elevate sound very much unlike most other brakes that increase sound dramatically.

Ruger muzzle brake 9/27/2020
Put this on a TC Compass 6.5 Creedmoor and noticed absolutely zero difference in noise, recoil or accuracy. Brake works much better on 308 which it is made for.

Ruger precision hybrid muzzlebrake 8/16/2020
I own a ballistics lab and tested this item on my 6.5 predator. Poor quality ,drill burrs are horrible! Went from groups touching to 2 inch groups at 100 yards! Since I can’t send it back I’ll have to deburr it and try again. It doesn’t give accuracy on the 6.5 because its bored for 30 caliber not 264.

Works great! 8/1/2020
I purchased this for my Ruger American Predator in 6.5 Creedmoor and the felt recoil change is definitely noticeable. I like that the jam nut made it super easy to install out of the package. I was very worried that getting a muzzle brake would make the gun sound relatively louder for the shooter, Im quite sensitive to loud noises, and normally I wear both earplugs and headphones. But I shot this while only wearing my earplugs and honestly, the gun actually sounded quieter for the shooter. Of course its still loud for nearby shooters, but definitely not as bad, they wont hate you for shooting with this. My only gripe is that there are metal burs left over from the machining process in the ports. This make cleaning the brake a bit of a pain, though this may be my fault for leaving the brake on when I clean.

Hybrid Muzzle Break on the SR 762 9/13/2019
I replaced the standard flash hider on my RS762 with the RPR Hybrid Muzzle break and the results were fantastic. Half the felt recoil and tighter groups are worth every penny for this item.

Works as it should 7/18/2019
I put this on my Ruger American Magnum 7mm. This gun kicks less than my 223 AR.

RUGER PRECISION RIFLE® HYBRID MUZZLE BRAKE 6/6/2018
I put this on my American Predator 6.5 Creedmoor and love it! No shock waves and I didnt find the noise to be overly offensive with just electronic muffs on.

Amazing Muzzle Brake!!! 11/18/2017
I decided to buy this muzzle brake, since my Thompson center compass came with a threaded barrel. Chambered in 30-06, the muzzle brake performed flawless by my consisted shot groups, which I could cover three shots with a quarter every time from a 100 yard distance. Not only has this muzzle brake help me make accurate shots but also help me fill the freezer this year. Pros: cut shot groups in half, reduces recoil. cons: I cant think of any lol

Best Muzzle Brake I Have Ever Used 4/11/2017
I installed this muzzle brake on a .308 Winchester chambered Remington Model 700 VS rifle. I immediately noted that recoil comes straight back, completely eliminating muzzle rise. Muzzle blast was not noticeably increased, even when shooting from a covered firing position. Great product.

Rifle Muzzle Brake 10/29/2016
This Muzzle Brake is well machined peice of material, all its appointments are key to its success as a muzzle brake.

Very effective brake and not just for Ruger firearms 8/24/2016
I used my Ruger Precision Rifle Hybrid Muzzle Brake on a Thompson Center Compass. The rifle shot consistent 0.8 100 yard groups without the brake. With brake in place, and shooting the same factory 30-06 Springfield 150 grain ammo, groups were reduced to a consistent 0.4. Recoil was cut dramatically and I wasnt left with a headache from muzzle brake pressure waves after a long day of shooting. Not your average brake.

About time 5/7/2016
After looking for the ideal bi-pod for the Ruger Precision Rifle I ended up with an Atlas. Then I went looking for a product that helped reduce buck by a considerable amount, SureFire, finally I settled in to some long range metal target shooting. Now I see Ruger has been listening to suggestions regarding a muzzle brake, a for-end with less Picatinny and more smooth surface, a scope, Vortex, matched to Rugers excellent performance and a metal bolt shroud. Ruger listens.Thats why I collect and use Ruger firearms. Thank you Ruger. Four stars because they were late to the party with the add-ons that make Rugers PR as good or better than products costing two or three times as much.
