Detailed Description

Designed for use with 9mm Luger ammunition used in the Ruger SP101®. These full moon clips are made from .032 thickness stainless steel and function as a speed loader as well as to assure positive ejection. The Moon Clips have an optimized charge hole design for positive ejection over a wide range of 9mm Luger ammunition. The easy to load full moon clips act as a speed loader for quick reloads. The design allows for loading and unloading without the use of a moon clip tool. Sold in a three pack. Made in the USA.

I agree with all these other Ruger owners. $17 plus shipping is ridiculous for this item!! comes to about $7 each which, I'm sure, only cost cents to make. Also they should have given us a couple more in the box. Spending hundreds of dollars for a pistol and only getting three!!

The bullets dont always lock in place and slip out of the moon clip. Are there particular brands of ammo that prevent this from happening?

Caution! 4/2/2019
Over time I have purchased 3 dozen moon clips for the 9mm LCR. Thats $180 collection of clips that will NOT work with the 9mm SP101 that I just purchased. Probably less than a millimeter difference in bullet bolt circle diameter and less than a couple of millimeters diff in cylinder dia. Seems like a pointless difference when requiring more $5 clips.

$1 each would be a fair price on these. $5 each is no way to reward customer loyalty.

To charge $15 plus shipping for 3 moon clips is unconscionable. This are three metal stampings that cost under 10 cents to manufacture. Pure rip off on Ruger part
 
Availability Hard To Find 2/24/2018
In agreement with first review. Need a lot more than three. This item will most likely wear with heavy usage. Availability through distributors is non-existent. Happy that Ruger has in stock to ensure many days of shooting enjoyment.
