Best grip for SP 101 |
4/14/2022 |
I have tried several different grips on my SP101. Couldn’t find the right one for me. Until I bought these Diamond Pros.
Perfect on my 2 1/4” and 3” SP101’s
Hand filling, comfortable, and made 357 magnums a pleasure to shoot.
Highly Recommend them |

A big improvement for my Rurer |

I bought my 101 over 20 years ago. After a few rounds I noticed that the grips were loose. Hogue grips were the only grips I found that would fit the gun tight. Only thing was, they really didnt fit my hand well and this took a lot away from its accuracy. Fast forward 20 years and I found these Pachmyrs. A nice hand full that makes it a pleasure to shoot again. The only drawback is that side panel that covers the takedown pin could stand to be a little stiffer.... |

Diamond Pro Grips |

Bought these grips for my SP 101
Grips are well executed with no unsightly seams or flashing. Great feel and shape with room for a full grip, yet compact enough for carry. Now, the bad news. Dont buy em. They do not fit! They are VERY loose. They give you a piece of white sticky tape to act as shims. The tape does not begin to fill the gaps. The absolute most pathetic fit possible. They claim the tape is for variances in production frames. Thats B.S. No production frame difference is as large as these grips are. |

My hand is happy now |

My SP101-22 is such an elegant little revolver and I enjoy it a great deal but I have large hands and the original grip, while comfortable and hand-filling left my pinky swinging in the breeze. I tried another popular grip and it took care of my little finger but seemed too slender for a real solid, comfortable grip. When I saw this Pachmayr grip for the SP101 I took a shot and ordered it. Very good move on my part. installation was a breeze. Fit was perfect in my opinion and now the gun fits me very nicely. And the feel of the texture is wonderful. My only negative comment, and thus the 4 stars is that it seems to promote a hand hold slightly lower on the frame below the bore axis. It takes a conscious effort on my part to keep my grip higher. But I group very well with this grip. It gets my full endorsement. |
