Sight shims |
6/3/2023 |
As with all sights, a nice tight fit insures good results. I love these little sights and installed properly they will NOT fall off. Go buy a cheap set of feeler gauges and cut shims from them to take up any slack you might find in the rear sight. Should be a mild to moderate interference fit, then snug the set screws. Works for me! |

Several people have reviewed this sight setup as poor due to the sights falling off. If you install the sights correctly and use the proper Locktite on the threads this will not happen. If you do not understand how to properly install sights on a firearm take it to a gunsmith for installation. Do not write bad reviews when you install them incorrectly. |

Sights fall off gun! |

After about 50-75 rounds the set screw for the rear sight comes loose, and the aperture slides out of the dovetail. This has happened multiple times no matter how tight I tighten the set screw. Williams Gun sights needs to re-design this. |

even with loctite the sight works loose and can fall off. you dont want to be crawling on the floor of your indoor range searching for it. I think sighting and then sinking the set screw by someone with the right gunsmithing tools/skills might work |

My wife and I both use this sight on our 10/22s for local steel target rimfire matches. Be sure to add blue Locktite to secure screws after adjusting and sighting in, they can work loose.
What I particularly like is that you can remove the small target diopter and use the larger threaded opening as a ghost ring rear sight, centering the fiber optic in the circle. It improves iron sight speed better than you would expect. |
