Ruger® Scout black synthetic stock. Rugged and reliable with a glass-reinforced nylon trigger guard and magazine well. Lightweight stock features a forward aluminum bedding block and rear aluminum pillar that positively locate the receiver and free float the barrel. Ergonomic, lightweight stock is designed for quick, easy handling and blends a classic look with modern forend contouring and grip serrations. Soft rubber buttpad with spacers allow the rifle to be properly sized for different shooters or varying levels of outerwear or defensive gear (three 1/2'' spacers included). Includes sling swivel studs. This bare stock weighs 1.8 pounds.

	Good for the price	9/5/2022
I swapped my laminate stock for this one for multiple reasons. First and foremost, this is not a $1500.00 reinforced fiberglass super delta force seal scout sniper whiz bang rifle stock. Do not expect that kind of quality when you just saw the listed price. What it is; is a good polymer stock at a good price. It didn’t warp when I had it in the rain for days. It weighs less than the laminate stocks. It IS free floating. I wouldn’t try to torture test it, or any other type of unnecessary abuse. But if you want a good stock for your GSScout, look no further.

This stock reduces the overall weight by about 12 oz., and seems to make my RGS balance better and reduce felt recoil a little bit. I have the stainless 18.7 inch version. It is actually a pretty stiff stock which is good and has the aluminum bedding in it which I like better than the laminate stock which has no bedding per se. The barrel is free-floated in this stock. Only thing I did not like was the hollow plastic butt, which I foam-filled to reduce noise. I recommend this stock if you do not like the heavier laminate; it is not the typical cheap stuff, Ruger put some thought into this one.

This stock is very stiff which is needed but it weighed only 9.6 ounces less than the plywood stock.

Excellent stock! It feels very sturdy and is built well. I know many have been waiting for this to be made available separately for a long time and I am very pleased at the handling and weight difference this stock made.
