Vaultek LifePods are great for outdoor recreational use, travel and firearm storage for handguns up to 7.75in in length. These rugged, electronic key protective cases meets TSA guideline with a built-in locking system. Integrating Vaulteks precision engineered safe technology and anti-impact latch design, the built-in lock allows you to quickly secure the LifePod for added security when needed. The backlit LED capacitive keypad is touch activated, and provides entry of the master code and features quick press to lock action when locking. Vaultek engineered a proprietary material blend to provide lightweight characteristics with superior strength for the ultimate in impact protection. Dual side compression latches combine with an interior rubber gasket to seal off the interior from environmental factors. LifePods are water resistant with an IP-65 environment rating, airtight, dust proof, and float in water when loaded with up to 2lbs of weight. Powered by a 9V alkaline battery (not included) with a battery life of up to one year under normal use. LifePods do not require a battery to function as a weather resistant case, but a battery is required to enable the built-inlock system. The keypad features a battery status indicator for easy battery monitoring. An integrated micro-USB port is located beneath the front rubber cover can power the unit in the event of a dead battery. Two backup manual keys are included, and the tumbler lock has a Key. Lock to disable the lock and prevent LifePod from being picked open. LifePod dimensions are 7" wide x 10.25" long x 2.25" high.
