Incredibly versatile 9/28/2018
I got this a few years ago for walking in the woods as well as snowmobiling. Great way to carry my GP100 3-in bbl as well as an Officers Model 1911. Holds the gun firmly and securely.

Just what I needed! 6/7/2017
After searching for a reasonably priced, function harness for the Alaskan I visited the Ruger site and found exactly what I was looking for. Not only does Ruger make excellent firearms but accessories as well.

Love it 3/3/2017
Got this for my Ruger Alaskan .44 snubbie. Very good quality and durable. Being on the chest makes it easier to draw your weapon if something knocks you down or while getting attacked. Dont go Squatchin without it.

Great Harness Holster 3/21/2016
I took my Grovtec fishing recently. It was very comfortable. Of course, I could feel the weight of the weapon, but it was centered and out of the way of my fishing activities. I previously carried it in a camo-fannypack. However, it was constantly getting in the way. This is one of the best holster investments that I have ever made. And like many of you, I too have a drawer full of holsters.

Purchased my 3rd one, Pros and a Con to follow.. 3/10/2016
Pros; Very Comfortable, and I am a big guy. I have worn this holster all day fishing with chest waders and with my 454 Casul, in thick bear country. It is easy to forget it is even there, that is until a curious grizzly gets a wee bit close. Then there is no muss, no fuss or digging to get your hands on your weapon. It is right there, Easily Accessible, Yes, been there done that, never fired a shot. This holster also works well with another brand of my revolvers that is more inline with the animals of NC vs AK. Great for hiking without the downward tugging of my waist belt. Why have I purchased 3? A right hand for myself and a left hand for my wife. My third is due to The Only CON that I have to offer. Long term Durability. The snap in the rear that clicks around your belt on your backside eventually failed. I was able to repair it in a leather shop that could replace the snap. The other is Velcro. Eventually, with use, it will get fuzzed and loose strength. Thus I am replacing my first holster today. Someone complained that the bullets fall out of the loops. I have not noticed this problem. The loops are elastic and Stretchy. I never left my extra ammo in the loops for extended periods to prevent them from loosing their memory or Stretchy-ness, if that is a word. So far so good. Still Loving my Super Redhawk Alaskan in 454 and its special holster.

Love this holster 3/4/2016
I received my holster today. I found that the velcro strap was long enough to secure the Super Redhawk and the cartridge loops snugly held the ammo. It fit well and felt secure and comfortable.

Great product 1/13/2015
I own a Super Redhawk Alaskan .480. This is perfect for it!! Ammo stays put just fine, any normal person can figure out the harness set up in a matter of moments. One little complaint is the velcro to secure the firearm. Easily solved for $2 at a tailors shop. I just needed to add more. Great holster, holds the firearm well. Straps are elastic to give it a snug fit even over a super thick jacket.

Get Something Else 10/1/2014
This holster is a nice fit but the cartridge loops are worthless. Even with a rimmed case, the cartridges fall out. Save your money and get something else that will securely hold the bullets...and save your ammunition, too.

Good economical chest holster for Alaskan revolver 5/1/2014
There are a lot of straps to negotaite, but fits well once in place. Only issue was that there does not seem to be enough Velcro on the gun tie-down strap. I added another inch or so of Velcro by sewing it on with an awl. Holds securely now while hiking, etc.
