Perfect Fit & Function |
5/10/2020 |
I was glad to get this Triple K holster for my GP-1708. As the review title states, the 3 GP fits perfectly in this holster and the holster itself functions perfectly. Whether youre driving or riding a motorcycle, this holster holds the GP in the perfect position. |

Very nice |

Is closed at the bottom, in case you want that more secure feeling, although others might prefer an open bottom where debris can just fall thru, I prefer it closed when I can find one. I liked this black holster so much, the GP100® CARRYLITE HOLSTER - RH, 3 BARREL, that when I obtained another holster, at the same time, but pancake style, I chose not to send this Ruger holster back for a refund, as it was just too nice. Fit snug to hip, which I like. I find that most holsters run one size too small, similar to shoes. So I ordered this to fit my .357 three inch revolver, but my .38 Colt two inch snub fits perfect. Love the logo embedded on the outside, which also reads made in the USA. I thought it a good price. Wish they came in a shade of brown too. |

This Holster is perfect for my Ruger Revolver GP100. Model# 1715. Three inch barrel. 357 Magnum. The fit is terrific and wearing it is very comfortable. Have received many compliments from everyone who checks it out. The price is acceptable for such a quality product. Very satisfied with my purchase and customer service from Ruger. |

Triple Ks are great holsters, but as with most leather holsters if you rub them with Mink Oil from the shoe polish style can inside and out and let them sit for a few days they mold to the gun. I get a great fit with minimal wear. |

Good Holster but... |
7/11/2018 |
This holster is good, but leather is stiff and feels thin as compared to other Triple Ks. The belt strap is more straight-up and down vs canted or at angle. Finger guard does its job. Retention strap and overall holster is extremely tight out of the box. It will require serious break-in. Also, for any of you w/a Wiley Clapp GP, especially Hawkeye Black, the inside thumb break snap will leave significant brass markings on the finish when drawing. As Blue/Black finishes are prone to brass scratches from any holster with wear and use, this is no surprise. However, this particular holster seems to excel at it. I work my guns so Im not picky, thus its simply an observation. But if your GP WC is a safe queen, youll likely wish to consider other options. Further, the Novak front sight will initially snag on the inside of holster when drawing. To fix, you WILL have to work the front sight in/out of this holster many times to wear down the leather/snag area for an eventual smooth draw. If not careful tho, brass marring will be greatly accelerated. That said, if your GP is a 3 SS you shouldnt have any issues. Really wish they would make a no finger guard tan T-K holster in 3. For the field or truck however, this holster will get the job done. |
