The head of the take-down pin sheared off while shooting at about 500 rounds. This is unacceptable and should be covered under warranty. |

Spring detent |

The newer takedown pins not pictured have a spring detent groove that is supposed to be an improvement. Unfortunately, my pin still tried to work its way out of the pistol after a few shots. Luckily I noticed the pin coming out before the slide flew off. May need to send gun to Ruger for repair. |

Hard learning curve. It didnt want to come out so I gave her a little more force probably should not have aim to the sky but I can say it went flying and Im still looking for her. |
