wish it came drilled |

It's an improvement on the stock sight, but I sure wish they came out of the box already drilled for the roll pins. I have to wonder why they don't. Is there some degree of variation in hole location in production that requires this level of hand fitting? |

I have a SP101 in .327 Federal Magnum and when I saw this item offered by the same people who made my revolver, well...WOW!
I get it and I check the fitting instructions, it says, "RGPLWO1 Fits: Ruger P Series. Also fits SP101 (Does not fit SP101 in 327 Federal caliber...)" Well, Thank you Ruger, now I lose money to send it back and the original shipping cost is also lost! The web site does not say anything about these sights NOT fitting the 327 Federal SP101. |

Great Addition for Faster Target Acquisition |
10/11/2020 |
I first would like to comment on the review that said, buyer beware. The reviewer commented to beware because this sight requires help from a gunsmith to put on the gun & that costs extra money so beware. WHAT??? Many sights require additional help to have them put on a weapon correctly and the extra cost involved has nothing to do with the performance of the sight. anyone with a little gun knowledge would know this.
The sight works great just as designed. It takes very little light for the sight to pop, helping get a fast target acquisition. The stock sight on the SP101 I purchased needed something else, and this was the answer for mine. |

Buyer beware! |

This Hi-vis front sight requires drilling a hole for the retention pin. My gun shop estimated $25-40.00 for this installation. That makes the total cost of replacement nearly $80.00! |
