Ruger fan 5/3/2021
This gun is exactly what I was looking for. It shoots well using the iron sights. The triger could use some work, but it did improve after a few hundred rounds. The scope provided with this gun should never have the Ruger name attached to it. It never held zero and cheapens the whole Ruger package. Wasted about 50 pellets before finding the fault was with the cheap scope.
A big, hard hitting riffle 4/22/2021
I own the .22 caliber version of this rifle, heres my review... Rifle: The rifle is big, and hits hard. It took a couple hundred rounds to properly break the rifle in, and find the most accurate pellets. It shoots accurate up to 50 yards with the 17 Grain Ruger Super Point pellets. This rifle easily punches holes through 1/2 pine boards at 25 yards, with all 4 different grain pellets I tried, ranging from 14.3 grain - 21.14 grain. It can be difficult to cock for some people, I find it to be a fun bench rifle. Scope: The scope is not adequate for this rifle. It does not hold zero, since the rifle has a hard double recoil. I upgraded to a Leapers UTG SWAT with etched glass. Now it holds zero, and shoots nice up to 50 yards. They should offer this rifle without the included scope, and rings. I would have given this 5 stars, if it wasnt for the scope.
