10 round mag ejection difficulty 2/10/2024
I purchased 2 dedicated 10 round mages. Unlike the shipped with gun mags that had to be pinned for 10 round , you have to struggle enough to eject the mags by using 2 hands to be able to push the eject button in to get the mag out , both of these mags do this in my American . The mags shipped with the pistols operate flawlessly. This problem is a big one should you be using the pistol for both home defense or competition. Really unhappy about this . If this is the way it is , my second pistol purchase will have me looking elsewhere.

Why Is This 10 a Zero? 4/18/2021
The only reason I purchased two 10-Round magazines for my Duty RAP was for travel to restricted capacity states and I am very unhappy with this product. Both have become problematic to remove when loaded with any amount of rounds. Left side release is almost impossible vs right side mag release. I have tried various brands of FMJ and JHP with consistent results. Even when empty, the left side magazine release is very stiff. This does not happen with ANY of the six 17-Round magazines I own. They work reliably! I would definitely NOT rely on the 10-Round magazines in a real time event if I needed to reload. Know your equipment, because your life depends on it to work.

American 10 round 9mm magazine 4/15/2019
.I found it very hard to load ammo, use of a loader is a must .Magazine would hold only nine rounds .Advertised that this mag could be used in full and compact American Pistols .I purchased this as an additional mag, what a waste of money .I have a Ruger Ranch rifle and have problems with Ruger mags over five rounds .Looks like Ruger may have a magazine issue!

Ruger Amercian 10 round magazine 11/25/2018
Well-made, easy to see # of rounds loaded, easy to handle, clicks into firearm solidly and ejects well. MUST use a loader if you want all 10 rounds. Would use 12-rounder but I live in a restricted state - CT.

American 9mm 10round magazine 11/25/2017
They are very hard to load, I had to buy a LULA loader or suffer thumb problems. The gun I like, it shoots great. Function is flawless.

Ruger American pistol 9mm Luger 10 shot magazine. 5/15/2016
Very poor design. Too much exposed plastic. Going to get gouged , scratched, and otherwise damaged. Going to cause difficult insertion and ejection of magazine with damaged plastic. Rectangular recesses are going to trap dirt, sand, mud, lint, leaves, snow, and other foreign matter. which can cause malfunctions. Plastic part needs to be completely covered up in steel to keep out foreign matter. Like the 10 shot magazine for .45ACP American pistol. A superior design.
