The Speed Scabbard was designed to meet the needs of plainclothes professionals preferring a holster without a thumb break while still providing firearm retention. This is accomplished with precise molding and tension screw device on most models. Belt slots are 1-3/4" wide. Ruger logo stamped on front. Available in black or tan unlined leather. Fits both Duty and Compact Ruger American Pistol® models. Made in the USA by DeSantis Gunhide®.

Incredible Holster 7/20/2016
I am 75 and never had a holster fit like this for the first slip in !! Firm, Secure,nothing Binding, and a design that everything ends up exactly where it should be without effort and yet strong - practical outfit. RUGER and DESANTIS need incredible PRAISE. Awesome Holster 4/8/2016
Desantis makes great leather holsters and this one is no exception, fits my new Ruger American 9mm Pistol perfectly. Have been wanting to use my Ruger American Pistol for my CCW and now I can with comfort and style. Gun draw and re-holster are very smooth along with a secure fit. I also picked up a Desantis leather double mag pouch, nice accessory to go with the holster.
