	Worse knife, great look	1/12/2022
Becomes dull very fast. Rust with a bit of moisture in hours. The sheath looks great but falls apart easy.

Looking at the photos, this appeared to be an excellent knife but a big factor for me when buying a knife is the quality and design of the sheathe, if there is one at all. As a result, I was reluctant to buy this knife at full price when there were no pictures of the sheathe provided on the product page. E-mail requests for images of the sheathe also fell on deaf ears, or blind eyes. So when the knife went on sale for 60$, I decided that that was low enough that I wouldnt mind having my local leather smith make a sheathe for it if need be. Much to my surprise however, the Powder-Keg came with an excellent friction retention leather belt sheathe that is both stitched and riveted with 5 pass through rivets. Four of the rivets are at the top of the sheathe with one at the bottom, all five are large enough to easily pass 550 cord through them. The belt loop easily accommodates a 1.5 belt and would probably fit a 2 nylon belt without too much issue. One notable aspect of the sheathe I received is that the leather came untreated and un-dyed. I have since rubbed a few coats of Leather Honey into the sheath to make it a rich brown color but I may yet use a black leather dye on it to darken the sheathe to match the color of the knife. Really wish I could post pictures for everyone. As for the knife itself, I love it. And not just because its aesthetically pleasing. The drop point is hollow ground and has a respectable 90 degree spine that could be touched up a bit. The knife looks hefty but is surprisingly light. The grip is a bit slim for my meat hooks but the panels provide excellent traction with no chance of the knife accidentally slipping. Overall Im very pleased with the purchase and Im happy to see another fine product from CRKT and Ruger. In all honesty, I would have gladly paid full price for this knife if I had known it would come with such a good sheathe.
