Detailed Description

This molded holster fits close to the body and features a thumb break safety strap with a spring stiffener. Made with top-grain leather for durability and fit. Open bottom design fits 2-1/4" or smaller belts. Walnut oil leather finish. Includes the Ruger logo. Designed to fit the Ruger SP101® with a 2.25" barrel. Left hand only. Made in the USA by Triple K.

This is a decent holster if keeping your firearm with you is more important than keeping it secure. I thought by buying a holster directly from ruger this would be a slam dunk of a product. I was wrong. If your sp101 is dao, meaning the hammer is bobbed; this is the holster for you. The leather strap that actually secures your firearm doesn’t reach across the hammer when the gun is inserted into the holster. Something I can fix for sure, but I just paid 60$ plus shipping for a holster I still have to tinker with as if I bought it from midway. Serves me right for not giving my money to the local guy instead.
