Best ambi safety design by far |
2/18/2019 |
This is the strongest designed ambi safety on the market. It does require fitting, it is not a drop in part. Get you some small files and go slow and fit it and youll be happy. The guy whos gunsmith installed it and its still too tight didnt fit it correctly. Mine has been awesome. |

Novak ambi 1911 safety |
2/11/2019 |
Novak builds an excellent thumb safety designed to fit any 1911 built from 1911 to 2019 and not just Rugers 1911 built on CNC machines. The part does require skilled installation. It does eliminate the weakness of the typical ambi safety using a thin joint in the middle of the grip safety to connect the two pieces.
Installing the main left side is just like installing any safety. Once that is finished the rights side is fitted so that it does not impede the function.
A 1/16 inch drift is required, a roll pin drift is best.
If you are not skilled enough to completely strip a 1911 the need to have a $6 tool shouldnt be a problem. |

a quality ambi safety |
2/13/2016 |
Eliminating the weak link in other ambi safeties, this one uses a keyed and pinned system to secure the right side lever, far stronger than the slotted shank on the Swenson style commonly used. And as for the other reviewer, you need nothing more than a pin punch and small hammer for disassembly, not a gun smith, perhaps he should stick with revolvers, LOL |

Great |

Excellent quality safety. Looks identical to the Novak brand and can be fitted just the same. Allows using an ambi without need to relieve the offside grip like most do. If you are not adept at fitting these hire a gunsmith for safety sake. |
