Screw holes poorly machined |
First off, this rifle should just come with this. It’s honestly ridiculous that it doesn’t. Secondly, this “genuine” Ruger part is very poorly made. 3 of the 4 mounting screw holes were not completely drilled through the rail. Bit was close to coming through, but it was slightly short causing huge burrs that covered half the hole not allowing the screw to pass through. Luckily it was close enough that I could remove and file the massive burrs but that should have been done in the factory. All in all this is a disappointing accessory for a disappointing rifle. |

Constructed Incorrectly |
I received this base quickly but it appears to have been made for a left handed Precision Rifle that I don’t see in the catalog. The recesses for the bolt and ejection port were on the wrong side of the mount, opposite side compared to the factory standard mount. It was returned and am waiting a response. |
