Guys & Gals: This flash hider is NOT designed for use with threaded barrels. It only works with the carbine 10/22 which has a fixed front sight. You remove the set screw, slide the device over the barrel being careful to line it up with the front sight holder. It slides on with a little push. Install the lock screw and you are set to fire.

Danger ! 1/11/2022
Bought one from shopruger & installed on my 10/22, looked great. After shooting about 15 rds it fell off while shooting. I put it back on & tightened to the point I thought I was about to mess the threads up. Shot 2 more mags through & it fell off again while shooting. Went home and applied blue loktite to threads and let it set for a week. Next time shooting it fell off while shooting a couple mags. Pure junk, don't buy this item for safety of your self and those around you when shooting with this on your gun.
