Not Good 7/9/2019
I use to own many of these but recently they were not locking the slide back on my 1911 when Wilson Combat 47d would. When cleaning my Ruger mags I noticed all the springs were different lengths and they were brand new. Not good for 40 dollar mags. Not reliable.
 
These are okay for an included mag 5/6/2018
The Ruger branded magazine is fine as a range magazine. I rate the pistol much higher than this magazine. I dont know who makes it, but there are much better to trust your life with. I use Wilson Combat Series 500 or Met-Gar magazines preferably. Even the cheaper Wilson Combat 47D is much better than the factory magazine. .

8 ROUND SR1911 MAG PERFECT FOR MAGWELL USERS 1/19/2016
I own 4 of these now and have ran many rounds through all of them with zero failures. I really like the look and function of these 8 rounders. I have a magwell on my SR1911 and it looks and fits perfect with these mags.

Great Mags 5/26/2015
They are not hugely fun to take apart to clean but they are very reliable. They extract and load rounds manually easily and do not fail in the weapon. I tried to use a cheaper mag in the SR1911 and had a FTF but with these no problems.
 
Look for the Dimple 4/5/2015
I have three of these now and they all work flawlessly. For a while I was using another name brand because the were lower cost, but upon learning the importance of the dimple on the follower, purchased two more of these. Sure the other brand is there as a back up, and they have not failed me, but factory Ruger is #1, #2 and #3 in my SR1911 and on my belt.

Good Factory mag! 3/25/2015
About 50% of the time when I use this magazine it causes a FTF, it is the factory mag that came with my SR1911. I have ran about 250 rounds through this mag. I am not giving up on it yet. the factory 7 rounder works flawlessly!
